Here's A Snippet of What You'll learn

"Cocaine and alcohol use disorders (AUD) have continued to surge across the Northeast for decades, especially in communities like Greater Hartford—yet most outpatient physicians feel under-equipped to respond. This session introduces new referral options for patients struggling with AUD and presents an emerging model for inpatient cocaine withdrawal management with seamless outpatient follow-up. Grounded in whole-person, osteopathic care, this talk will empower physicians to confidently support patients with substance use disorders—without needing to become addiction specialists."

"Successful leadership involves recognizing and developing a series of interconnected prime skills to help improve one’s ability to influence others and stimulate change. Specifically, leading as a physician in patient care vs. leading as a physician in organizations/health systems require different skills. Concepts such as situational leadership, communication styles, understanding perspectives, persuasion techniques and building relationships will be discussed."
